Dr. Owano Pennycooke has a passion for the New Jersey area and the people who live there. After growing up in the central portion of the state, Dr. Pennycooke went on to study at Rutgers. After achieving his undergraduate degree, he went on to study at Rutgers University Medical School (then the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey). While undergoing six years of general surgery training at Cooper Hospital in Camden, Dr. Pennycooke developed an interest in vascular surgery, prompting him to return to UMDNJ in Newark to participate in a vascular fellowship.
Today Dr. Pennycooke is double boarded in General Surgery and Vascular Surgery by the American College of Surgeons. He also acts as the Chairman and Medical Director of New Jersey Vein and Laser Center, a vein clinic in Monmouth County. Here Dr. Pennycooke and his wife, Dr. Shelley-Ann Pennycooke, provide patients with top quality vascular care in a caring, relationship-driven atmosphere.
Dr. Shelley-Ann Pennycooke is a board certified emergency medicine physician who grew up and practiced in the state of New Jersey. After discovering a passion for helping others as a child, Dr. Pennycooke went on to train at New Jersey’s University of Medicine and Dentistry’s School of Osteopathic Medicine. After working in the emergency medicine field, Dr. Pennycooke transitioned into Aesthetic Medicine. She now joins her husband, Dr. Owano Pennycooke, at The New Jersey Vein and Laser Center, where her experience and drive to help others allows her to build relationships and provide top quality aesthetic care.
